How We Build and Price Concrete Work

Concrete Contractors Port Charlotte pours and repairs residential concrete in Port Charlotte and the surrounding parts of Charlotte County: driveways, pool decks, patios and lanai slabs, stamped surfaces, walkways and equipment pads, and resurfacing or leveling for slabs that have cracked, sunk or faded.

Our work starts from local conditions rather than a national template. Port Charlotte gets roughly 50 inches of rain a year, most of it from June through September, on flat ground where water has to be steered into roadside swales. Summer highs sit in the 90s and the sun is strong all year. So the things we pay attention to are drainage, a compacted base, timing the pour around heat and afternoon storms, and finishes that stay cool and grippy around a pool.

The way we work

  • Measure first. We visit, measure and look at why the old slab failed: water, roots, a soft base or a slab that was simply too thin.
  • Price it on paper. Demolition, base, thickness, reinforcement, finish, sealing and permit costs each get their own line.
  • Plan the permit. In unincorporated Charlotte County, concrete flatwork needs a permit, and a driveway that crosses the right-of-way needs a right-of-way permit with its own inspections. We build those steps into the schedule. Punta Gorda and North Port addresses go through their own city offices, and we check which one applies.
  • Hand over care notes. You get written dates for walking, driving and sealing, plus advice for the first rainy season.

When resurfacing or leveling will solve the problem for less than a tear-out, the quote shows both options side by side.
